Halloween is approaching! It’s in all of the stores and soon my DIY home decor will be complete too. I’m excited to get started on my porch this Halloween, what area do you focus on for your decor? This week I wanted to show you how to make one of these spooky Halloween Spider Planters. They aren’t expensive to make and look great where ever you prefer to decorate. If you’re not a fan of spiders…maybe pass this DIY decor project and take a look at this Halloween Potted Venus Fly Trap instead! If you do love the creepy crawlies take a look at this week’s Creepy DIY Halloween Spider Decor!
Most, if not all of the materials for this craft are available at your local dollar store. Which makes this project a winner, it’s inexpensive and quick to make. It didn’t take me long to put it together and it was fun too! My youngest was interested in helping…but didn’t like the feel of the spider web material, which was very funny for me, haha. For this craft I went with a traditional black theme a “creepier” feel. The black with silver pot sealed the deal for me, it was perfect!
Let’s take a look at how to make this Creepy DIY Halloween Spider Planter
Decorative Gauze Cloth – Black
Decorative Gauze Cloth – Grey
Glass cylinder vase
First you’ll want to fill your pot with the tissue paper. This helps hold the glass vase up in the middle.
Then place your glass vase in, press it firmly so it won’t fall out. You don’t need any glue for this.
Once your happy with the vase placement you can add some of the spider web. Place it into the vase and then add a few mini spiders, place the so they look like they’re crawling out of the vase.
Place the black and grey gauze cloth around the glass vase and continue to add mini and medium spiders.
There you have it, a perfectly creepy halloween spider planter!! It’s a fairly easy DIY Halloween decor idea that you’ll get years out of. Looking for more great Halloween crafting ideas?
